stellar_muddle: (blackwork)
I had been plugging away steadily but boringly on the linen undertunic. The weaving had stalled due to not being able to wind up at the top (and being too lazy to take some good bits of wood upstairs to fix), so slow but steady progress on the sewing. Being good with no new projects until a couple old ones got knocked off.

Then I decided bugger it last night and started some blackwork for a ruff. Nice and relaxing, good fireside/beanbag project. Looks pretty so far and not like the flying spaceship lineup.

Then tonight I established that we didn't have any small (yet large enough) scraps of (fluff, not scratchy) wool to make a hot water bottle cover. 1 evening sewing project that should have been - nothing major.

So, after not having knitted anything since I was about 14 or 15, started knitting a cover. Same wool as I have done a couple naalbinding projects with. Seems to be going ok so far (taking a break so hands can have a rest), even though I have ended up using a set of chopsticks because I don't have any knitting needles (that I know of).
Weird what seems to stay in muscle memory.

Lets try not to start any more projects any time soon...
