Time to break new feet in
Aug. 16th, 2009 01:09 pmThe combat boots I have lived in for the past 8 years (they were acquired in early 2001) have finally died with the sole cracked completely through on one shoe.
Sigh.
Had started collecting other boots for a while now since the old pair had been only just hanging on*, but the couple times I had tried them (about 10 months ago), there had been issues and I had gone back to the old ones.
Time to just bite the bullet and get the feet used to the new ones. Well stocked up on bandaids.
* holes in the leather, cracks, rips and general deterioration.
But in more cheerful news, yesterday ended up being a day of much reinterpretation of Neil Gaiman-age. Saw Coroline (was fun:)) round lunchtime and rewatched Stardust on the evening. Each quite different films but all good.
Time for minor gadgets and groceries, planter-box sorting, then strawberry and sugar snap planting.
