All quiet around here with lots of people taking an extended long weekend.

Rego forms for Folk Festival printed out and filled in - check
Watch battery in, so can tell time on site when cellphone battery goes flat flat flat - check (that one has only taken about 6 months... Will see how long neckstring holds and possibly decant to the broach later - and it was only $16 and done in front of me in about 2 min...)
Remembered to pack the last stuff - check
Remembered money for stuff - check
Forgot to back up USB sticks to computer, but left one behind and the other is either on various hard drives anyway, or worst case, I have the CDs still.
Data checking and script transfer - I'll get onto that now...

Now I like that idea.
(Unfortunately missed the seminars on that yesterday).

Oh, and drive safely over the long weekend - take plenty of breaks to stop and enjoy the scenery. Drive to the conditions (not forecast to be nice on Sat...). Pay attention to the idiots around you, but don't let them stress you, and definitely don't play idiot one-up-manship. Just because they are behaving badly, doesn't mean you need to. You will have far less fun over the weekend if you are dead.

We managed a couple of road crash death free weekends a while back. It would be nice if they could be repeated.
