Back from South Island wanderings.

Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to those whom I haven't said so personally. I really should be good and personal with such messages sooner rather than later.

I'll post the usual holiday/trip review in a post or two. That way you can pick and choose the bits to skim over...

The tradition at this point seems to be to post reviews of the year and intentions for the next. Given how busy this past year has been I may just link to some things and summarize the rest.

Books read in 2007. I'll try and do the same thing this year. Probably wont try and read more books - I have done more than 102 previously and don't really wish to number cap. Possibly more nonfiction might be useful*, but the new work may supply enough of that and other brain challenges.

Projects finished in 2007. Ditto on trying to keep track, so as to actually keep track of what I have been up to in 2008. Linking to photos would probably be a good idea too.

Other stuff:
Moved back to NZ (Wellington, which back for me, but not for Z) in Sept.
Got job (starts 9 Jan).
Think those are the biggies. There has been a lot of fun in between and a bit of stress (let's not shift intercontinentally for a while).

WRT resolutions, not certain there are really any specific ones. Just general ideas and things that will get done:
Have fun at new job - there should be some definite challenges there and lots of new stuff. Looking forward to getting the brain cells a little more rev'ed up again.
Need to find suitable rental accommodation (shorter term) and continue the investigations/inquiries into buying (longer term).
Set up some habits, especially wrt exercise. Get things embedded into daily routines, now that starting to get closer to being able to establish daily/weekly routines. But that being said, don't let the lack of routine be too much of an excuse to forget.

Have fun and don't take things for granted. Don't forget to say thank you and hug when needed.

And don't get so distracted in computer stuff as to forget about lunch...

*Though I rather object to "should" reading lists. Too much like required reading for school english.
