May. 16th, 2007 10:20 amHouse is all clean, all inspected, all done.
Bit anti-climactic really.
But there are sweeping vistas of clean floors you can now safely lay out clean fabric...
So, trim bliaut skirt length - even when correctly hiked up there is still about 20 cm trailing on the ground and hopefully that will reduce the weight down somewhat.
Then there is the silk... (light weight ex-sleeping bag liner)
What have people found to be good/comfortable dimensions for (12th C) oval veils? Race track ie circles at either end separated by long straight bits or more elliptical or what? What sits best around the top of the head? Or should I drape/cut light weight scrap fabric til it sits nice and work off that? Will probably end up being pinned to linen bands.
But will be good and go and pay gas and electricity bills and get milk before playing.
Edit: And after finishing the cord, bliaut fits well and wrinkles in the right places...
But can't do anything til I find the good scissors. They got tidied away somewhere...
