Vaguely getting things done...
Dec. 7th, 2006 01:43 pmRight, so far today I have pestered 3 astronomers about papers and references, 1 nanophysicist about a job or two advertised, thanked one amateur astronomer for some observations, and checked out the Flinders Uni physics courses and their 1st year physics array. There is also a load of laundry in the machine, Z's (was white) now dusty reddish streaked with areas of less red linen shirt on the line, and all the ingredients for making Lemon cordial (allowing for the fact I am halving the recipe and reducing the honey levels a bit) are on the kitchen table. And a bunch of unread books from signing up to the local library and visiting town yesterday.*
So, lunch, a good book and cordial making. And fingers crossed, some replys to email.
*I did see one that I drooled over but resisted. I have philosophical objections to paying $54 for a hardback novel, even given how good the author is and that both Z and I have been waiting for this one to turn up. Up to $35, $40 even, worth it, but not $54. And it definitely doesn't come under the doorstop, slaying-of-small-forests-required-just-to-publish-it excuse. I can wait til it is out in paperback. Z may be less patient though.
