It's been linked to by BoingBoing and Neil Gaiman, so many of you will have already seen it, but it's too good to miss:
Wired 14:11 Very short stories
6 word short stories from various sf, fantasy and horror authors.
Some good ones:

Gown removed carelessly. Head, less so.

It’s behind you! Hurry before it
- Rockne S. O’Bannon

I’m dead. I’ve missed you. Kiss … ?
- Neil Gaiman

The baby’s blood type? Human, mostly.
- Orson Scott Card

There must be a word for it in the Meaning of Liff - the slight sinking feeling you get after just purchasing an x a little while ago, and on the way home remembering that you had seen an x (in this case mattress) slightly cheaper and possibly better a couple days ago. Oh well, delivery Mon afternoon. Guess I will be spending a few hours at the new place cutting out fabric, reading a book and twiddling my thumbs while waiting for said delivery. Can always pad with extra fabric and or duvet if it is too uncomfortable - it certainly wasn't bad though.

On a more positive note, took a slight detour on the way back and stopped in at the Central Markets... [livejournal.com profile] slothphil, if you ever needed an incentive for a passport, this would be one. Take a very large covered area and fill with fresh fruit stalls, delis, bakers, butchers, seafood... Stores specializing in cheeses, salamis, sausages, exotic sauces and condiments, coffee, dried fruit and nuts, chocolate... I was restrained and only went for the 2 for $3 punnets of strawberries but did note cherries starting to get below $10 per kg for later.

Definitely a place to go back to... regularly...
