I have to admit, I do like Christmas Carols. Sad, but true. Not so much anything post 1950, but the really old ones. Especially well done vocals intertwining with maybe one or two instruments for contrast/support. Just heard a gorgeous version of the Coventry Carol.

And Christmas lights.

And Christmas trees.

Low surrounding light with the soft glow of coloured lights reflected off glass and tinsel. Smell of pine and popcorn. The right music - not necessarily carols, but something soft and enveloping that feels like you have known it forever.

Bliss:)

So what is your musical equivalent of a good hug?

More than 2 years later and I am still finding mistakes in my PhD thesis. Usually it is just stupid spelling mistakes. This time I got the observation dates matched to the wrong radial velocities for an entire star in the appendicies. And, since I have been using the appendix data for plotting for an upcoming paper... Gee whiz, thats why the radial velocity looks like a random scatter diagram.

Bugger.

I know where all the copies of my thesis are... Wonder if it is worth emailing a correction/correct table for sticking in? The individuals involved might, but I suspect the library might be less than happy.

Arsemonkeys...

Why did they give me the degree again?

Oops...
