Finally...
Nov. 22nd, 2004 10:34 amAfter 3 weeks, finally all the way out of the old place, and all the way into the new place... (we wont mention the bikes which Z is sorting out today... and the lawns (just tidy) and garage...).
However there are still lots of boxes to unpack and sort, bookcases to make and general mess to explode into a vague semablance of order. We may even have broadband and a phone number by the end of today... Verdict on whether or not to get TV and video later in the week. If I don't know what is on, generally don't miss it, but do if do... and have large video collection to work through - "Gunpowder, Treason and Plot" anyone?
One advantage to the new place is the location. 10-15 min by bus to town - meaning only need to leave the house by 7:25am - this means can sleep in:) Next step is to start biking - going in is fine (whooooooosh downhill) but home again at the end of the day will be a bit more of a test.
Time to start walking up mountains too..., well ok, "mountains" by Canberra standards.
So, the weekend was: garden, shift stuff, sundial base (incl shift rocks), housewarming, sleeeeeep, trash and treasure then revolve for furnature (Z happy with LOTS of ex-tree bits - the next weekend is the weekend of the bookshelves... and work shop), cleaning, dinner, more cleaning, over to new place, excavate bed so can sleep on it, find box with bedding in, bed and sleeeep... First night in new place...
( slightly meme sheepish and may be TMI )
Now, to morning tea and a building hatred of gaseous water - shouldn't be allowed in stars damn it...
