He he, new parrot colour scheme for the collection...
These looked like the local pink and grey galas, but had muddy green bodies and RED heads and crests...

I LIKE the parrots here - seeing a flock of 50+ cockatoos grazing?/browsing? on the side of the road is really cool and you realise just how social they are*. At the very least they break the colour monotony of grey/brown/yellow/muted green that is the landscape. You get aclimatised to it and it is only after you get away a little (in my case, Germany in June) that you remember and touch real vibrant green again...

It is apparently the worst drought in recorded history for here (150+ years worth) but still...

Right, time to get back to papering...
rant
You would think that velocity, acceleration and radius would be simple concepts to deal with and observe, wouldn't you. Let us first define the stellar observables, then the physical parameters we want to descibe the star, then the extremely long list of assumptions required to get between a and b... and how many of them can break down if you are not thinking clearly... Personally you want your data to include as few of these assumptions as possible, you would think...

Time to move this rant somewhere useful

*Thus implying that keeping a single one as a pet with little company is really cruel
