What is your favourite Terry Pratchett novel?
Every so many months Z will disappear into "Nightwatch" and not emerge for several hours. Me, I prefer "Thief of Time" * - playing with time, chocolate, Susan... all good. General preference for the later novels rather than the earlier ones, but a definite weakness for the City Watch... and witches.
(This counts as a break from muttering over the Bliaut. A few things need tweaking and I am not good at taking measurements off of preexisting garments - though the fact the older bliaut exists and I know I can take measurements off it is a good thing. Wondering if the torso needs to be shorter so I am not trying to pack quite so much fabric into the crumpled bit, especially as it is wool and not silk or somethign lighter. Currently about 2 1/2 times the length that the lacing will need to cover on my body - now cut to two times and seems far more reasonable. Up to unpicking, resewing, unpicking, resewing...)

Date: 2007-05-02 08:53 am (UTC)I love everything with Sam Vimes in it, partly because he reminds me of J, and I suspect I may be Sybil. Thud and Night Watch are the most dramatically satisfying for my money. Of course, then I also love Susan and Granny, and Tifanny and Ridcully and, oh dear ...
