Vocabulary evolution/influences

New additions to the family vocab since AJBM arrived*:

spoot eg "She spooted about 5 min ago"
blup
fountain
snapping turtle
baby skins (off Mum and Dad)
frogging

* Tell you what they actually mean would take half the fun out. Needless to say, there are a bunch of bodily functions in there :)

We use 'splork' for, well, the obvious.

To me, "frogging" is ripping out a bit of knitting or crochet (rip it = ribbit = frog...).... Guessing this is *not* what you do with der bebeh!
Is it the kicking thing babies do?

When she lies against your chest with legs hiked up under her. Hopefully doesn't involve kicking... :)

Awwww :) I remembered when picking up my little brothers* they'd kick their legs like the 'frog kick' part of breast-stroke: that was the first (baby-related) image I got from "frogging". Her version does sound terribly cute though!

*as infants, obv. J is now 6'2" and 85kg at 16, and has successfully picked *me* up, the little smartarse. R is 11, 5" and still scrawny enough I can pick him up - but probably not for much longer!
