You might want to have a look at the apod syndicated account; Astronomy Picture of the Day. I believe you should be able to afford one syndicated account of that size on a free account if you want to.

If you're using Mozilla at home, you could block images from their server, to save your home connection the load. Don't know if you can do that with other browsers, but you might.

If that isn't work related, I don't know what is :-)
