And another costuming bookmark...

Truly Victorian
The piccies are cool and some of the styles of skirts look really easy/neat...
Maybe it is the effect of having sorted through all that fabric last night (and the night before). Wonder how well some of the black linen would work... Drooling over 1879 style gowns.
Disadvantages:
$12.50 * 3 for mens trousers LM106 , shirt LM107 , and waistcoat and coat LM109.
= $37.50 (USD:()
TV102 Chemise and Drawers $15
(or LM100 Victorian Underwear (chemise, drawers and corset) $12.50 - do have a corset though, ? about the contours)
TV170 Victorian Petticoats $8.50
TV221 1878 Tie-Back Underskirt $11.00
TV324 1878 Long Draped Overskirt $10.50
TV420 1879 Cuirass Bodice with Evening Options $11.00
= $53.50 (USD)
+ shipping (<2 pounds, $9 to >8 pounds, $48.20, (for Australia) with no estimate of weight per pattern)
And you haven't even bought any fabric yet...

Sigh, yes I am a cheapskate, and no I wont buy those patterns. Have already fudged certain elements of the look through Gallery Serpentine, but not complete/proper outfit.
However may be able to work out basic skirt from Example pattern instructions and a lot of fudging and checking online free pattern (some do exist).
Repeat after me, I do not need any new projects as well as finishing norman bliaut (deadline this weekend or two), tents (deadline Festival 06), embroidered pouch (started), naarlbinded mittens (started), blackwork chess board (supposed to have been finished Nov 2002, over half sewn now), blackworked chemise (wrong cut, but 1 1/2 shoulder seams done), extra front and back gores in green 14th C gown, Cotehardie (someday start), Greenland gown (someday start), Regency gown and jacket (someday...)... and I am sure I will come up with some more later...

Would be nice for a Spring Picnic though...
