blah blah blah blah and the psychology of of holiday placement
So, it is nice that there is a public holiday on Weds to celebrate Australia Day. But having it in the middle of the week means you end up with two Sundays, instead of two Saturdays. Saturdays are fun because that nagging feeling of a bunch of things you need to do before heading back to work can be drop kicked into a small dark closet with the doors slammed shut behind it til Sunday. Sunday afternoons on the other hand, have that nagging voice building and building, with whatever work problems that you had dumped on Fri ganging up on you again. That and knowing you have to get up at the usual early time of the morning, so any staying up late will be regretted in the morning. And you end up with two mondays that week...
At least the next long weekend is 19-21 March (Canberra Day) with Easter the following weekend, so there is a good line up. May be somewhat busy though - Festival set up and panic... At least sewing is progressing - seams are being finished with two tunics down and two to go (gores flow really nicely but are a bugger in terms of the number of seams they add). Then other repairs and a green wool tunic for Zane and possibly other outer tunics depending on the fabric available... Will have to see how time is going before thinking about any other projects... mmmm cotehardie from the green wool for me... 10m (150cm wide), 3 peoples worth of garments... hmmmm
